What I Wore: Casual Christmas Party Looks

Teamed up with Simply Be, I created two “party looks” for the relaxed, casual girl who would rather be at home than out this season, i.e., me!

Nothing like an LBD! This black ribbed dress from Simply Be beats your average ribbed bodycon dress, designed to accentuate, and flatter your curves, this number is a perfect “throw on and look like you’ve made an effort” dress. Paired with statement silver accents; my red, silver, and black combo is o’ so this season.

But beware, when it comes to dresses of this fabric, stretching and reshaping is common after a few wears and washes.

Unfortunately, after a few nights out and a spin or two in the washing machine, my once figure hugging/loving/enhancing dress turned into a near sack of black fabric. But, luckily I managed to bring it back – well, sort of!

Lavish Alice is one of my favourite brands for blazers – especially for a girl with 38E melons. There cape blazers are designed to flatter and create an hourglass figure, by defining your shoulders with padding and cinching in your waist with its tie front.

For those work do’s when you don’t know what to wear or just want to wear your most comfortable jeans, this cape blazer is a must have. To create a casual yet chic look, I paired mine with my favourite heels from Zara, ripped ankle grazer jeans from New Look, and plunging v-neck vest from ASOS. Simple but cute!

Although I love these ‘thrown together last minute’ looks, I’m still on the hunt for sparkles, sequins and glitter. How will you be dressed this Christmas; relaxed and casual or dressy and show-stopping?
